Countrywide Hotels has been appointed to oversee all management and operations of the 50-bedroom townhouse hotel, strengthening the company’s position within the boutique and independent hotel sector and showcasing its continued expertise in driving performance across diverse hospitality assets.

As part of the appointment, Richard Sidaway has joined the hotel as General Manager, bringing a wealth of operational experience and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.

Situated in the heart of one of southwest London’s most desirable neighbourhoods, The Selwyn combines period charm with contemporary elegance. Following a careful refurbishment that pays tribute to the building’s rich history and architectural character, the hotel now features a sophisticated blend of Victorian and Art Deco design influences, complete with walnut panelling, chandeliers, Ralph Lauren homewares and a curated art collection.

The hotel’s inviting public spaces, including The Paisley Room, are being developed as vibrant social hubs for both guests and the local community. Plans include introducing a classic Afternoon Tea experience, alongside light lunches, teas and barista coffees, creating a welcoming setting for locals to relax, meet friends or simply enjoy the atmosphere of this elegant townhouse.
