OUR HOTELS TOP GINS TO TRY THIS GINUARY

Dry January not your thing...why not try Ginuary instead?

Ginuary is an annual international month-long celebration during the month of January celebrating all there is about bountiful wonders of gin.  It is a chance to discover, experiment, appreciate and enjoy all the pleasures a refreshing glass of gin and a mixer has to offer.

We asked our hotels to name their favourite and most popular gins and have created our Countrywide Hotels top gins for you to try below.

MONKEY 47 GIN

An incredibly fun gin that hales from the Black Forest in Germany. The name comes from the number of botanicals that go into this unique gin, and the fact it’s bottled at bedtime-inducing 47% proof. Palate-wise it’s complex (there are, also, pleasingly, forty-seven different tastes packed in there). Woody, spicy, fruity, and herby: it is pretty much everything a gin can be.

BATHTUB GIN
Made using the traditional method of Cold Compounding, in which the spirit is slowly infused with botanicals including orange peel, coriander and cardamom, this gin has strong notes of citrus and spice. The award-winning gin is best served over ice with tonic and a wedge of orange.

MALFY GIN ROSA

A bright and refreshing flavoured gin. It has a zesty and citrusy taste of pink grapefruit, with a rich, long juniper finish. Malfy Gin Rosa is distilled in Italy with some of the finest botanicals including handpicked juniper, Italian lemons and some fresh Sicilian pink grapefruit. Perfectly pairs with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic or Refreshingly Light Indian Tonic alongside a garnish of grapefruit.

HOXTON GRAPEFRUIT & COCONUT GIN

A gin that is smooth, easy and different from the rest, using a medley of natural and ethically sourced ingredients including juniper, coconut, grapefruit, iris, tarragon and ginger

SLINGSBY RHUBARB GIN

This gin is crafted using locally sourced botanicals and masterfully infused with the finest Yorkshire rhubarb sourced from the famous 'Rhubarb Triangle'. These unique ingredients are complemented with water drawn from the world-famous Harrogate aquifer, pure single grain spirit and a handful of the finest ingredients sourced from around the world.

THE BOTONIST ISLAY DRY GIN

The botanist is a gin of layered complexity. 22 hand-foraged local botanicals delicately augment nine berries, barks, seeds and peels during an achingly slow distillation. This first and only Islay dry gin is a rare expression of the heart and soul of our remote Scottish island.

PINKSTER GIN

Served in over 50 Michelin starred restaurants worldwide, this award winning refreshing kombucha is now available in a supermarket near you. It's so good, a group of sommeliers voted it the best wine alternative.

A Luxurious handcrafted gin of exceptional quality with bright vibrant flavours of juniper followed by a herbaceous floral note from the Violet. Perfect for sipping over ice and pairing with cocktails and long drinks. The aromatic violet flower infuses a subtle floral note to the smooth English gin base for a Vibrant intense taste of Italian elegance.
