SAINT VERAN RESERVE 2017, COLLOVRAY & TERRIER

This 'Reserve' wine from Collovray & Terrier is delicious proof that Saint Véran remains one of the best value communes in Burgundy. Aged for 6 months on lees, in a combination of oak and steel tanks, this golden Chardonnay has a beautiful structure and richness. Expect notes of ripe citrus, white flowers and a delicate minerality.

VILLA BLANCHE TERRET BLANC

Whisper it, but this could give many a Chablis a run for its money. A once popular but now rarely seen grape of the Languedoc, it displays bright citrus fruits with a thrilling mineral finish, reminiscent of more heralded whites.

DOMAINE LOUIS MOREAU, CHABLIS

This is a deliciously delicate expression of the Chardonnay grape from Burgundy, and makes a really smart start to a celebratory meal. There are hints of apples and grapefruit flavours and an elegant buttery edge. It's wonderful with salmon, which has a delicate juniper flavour that is subtle and immediate.
